WAVE: A NEW ERA FOR MOTORCYCLE COMMUNICATION

Unlimited range with VoIP

With Wave, the SENA 60S is the first motorcycle intercom to offer connectivity via VoIP, allowing riders to stay connected with an unlimited number of users, without range constraints, as long as cellular coverage is available. This innovation complements the Bluetooth 2 and Mesh Intercom 3 technologies already offered by SENA.

“At SENA, we’re motorcyclists first and foremost, and we understand how important it is to stay connected. With Wave, you can stay in touch with your group, no matter the distance. As long as there’s network coverage, you’re connected, without the range limitations of Bluetooth or Mesh.” – Tae Kim, Founder and CEO of SENA

Seamless communication

Whenever needed, Wave automatically switches from Mesh to VoIP. This feature keeps riders connected even when they are out of Mesh range. If a Mesh connection becomes available again, Wave automatically switches back to it without any interruption.

And much more with the new Wave app

Thanks to geolocation, the SENA Wave app displays the real-time positions of group members on a map. It allows motorcyclists to instantly connect with other riders within a 2 km radius. In addition to voice communications, Wave offers a chat feature for exchanging texts and images, perfect for before or after a ride. The app also includes friend list management, the ability to add new contacts via QR code, and an SOS button for quick alerts in case of an emergency.

MESH 3.0 AND BLUETOOTH 5.3 FOR A COMPLETE EXPERIENCE

When cellular network is unavailable, the SENA 60S automatically switches to Mesh 3.0 technology to communicate with other SENA 60S intercoms, or it switches to Mesh 2.0 to connect with SENA intercoms equipped with this technology, such as the 50 series, Spider, or 30K.

Thanks to the new Mesh 3.0 algorithm, audio clarity and connection stability are significantly improved. The system automatically adjusts the volume so that every rider is heard at the same sound level.

In “public” Mesh mode, riders can switch between nine different channels with an almost unlimited number of participants. In private mode, up to 24 riders can communicate with a range of 2 km in open terrain. This range can even extend to 8 km with a minimum of 6 users spaced 1.6 km apart. The battery life is 16 hours.

“I tested the SENA 60S during the LCR Track Days in June 2024: honestly, I was amazed by the simplicity and effectiveness of the Mesh technology. No distance limits on the track, and everyone could connect without any issues. In the end, it made our riding sessions more fun and much safer for everyone!” – Johann Zarco, MotoGP Rider, LCR Honda

PREMIUM SOUND WITH HARMAN KARDON

The SENA 60S, equipped with SOUND by Harman Kardon technology, features second-generation 40 mm Harman Kardon speakers, which are thicker and offer significantly superior performance compared to the previous version. This new model delivers powerful sound, with a volume increase of up to 130% compared to the SENA 50S. Thanks to its wide dynamic range, your music and conversations come to life, whether on the highway or in the city, providing first-class audio quality on every ride.

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AT ALL LEVELS

Noise Reduction with AI

The SENA 60S integrates a brand new noise reduction feature based on artificial intelligence: AINR (Artificial Intelligence Noise Reduction). The AI accurately detects the rider’s voice through the microphone and filters out background noise. More effective than ANC (Active Noise Control), AINR eliminates surrounding sounds and echoes, ensuring clear communication even in the noisiest environments.

Enhanced Voice Commands with AI

The new artificial intelligence developed with Fluent.ai also plays a key role in improving the voice commands of the SENA 60S. Now smoother, even in complex sound conditions, these commands allow for effortless interaction with the device while optimizing battery life. With a customizable interface supporting multiple languages and accents, motorcyclists can control key functions—answering calls, activating Group Mesh, or launching GPS navigation—simply by voice. Phrases like “Hey Siri” or “Hey Google” enable users to manage features without letting go of the handlebars.

EVEN MORE NEW FEATURES

OTA: firmware updates are easily done wirelessly via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, cellular network, or directly through the app.

IPX7: a high waterproof rating for optimal protection against water.

Dynamic Motion LED: to quickly visualize the device’s status at a glance.

Flashlight: built-in flashlight, convenient for finding your keys in the dark.

GLOSSARY

1. VoIP (Voice over IP): Allows voice communications to be transmitted over the Internet or a cellular network using IP (Internet Protocol) rather than traditional phone lines.

3. Mesh Intercom™: A wireless communication technology developed by SENA that allows multiple motorcyclists to connect easily. Compared to traditional Bluetooth, Mesh Intercom optimizes the range and reliability of communications by allowing each device to act as a relay, providing broader coverage and a more stable connection between users.

4. OTA: Stands for Over-The-Air, referring to the wireless update of a device via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or cellular network, without the need to connect it to a computer.

5. Firmware: Software embedded directly into an electronic device, which controls its basic functions and ensures its proper operation.
