Alex Márquez
In his second season with LCR Team and after a nearly podium finish in the last season, Alex comes to the starting line fiercer than ever with the LCR Honda CASTROL Team and the number 73. Alex was twice world champion: in Moto3 in 2014 and in Moto2 in 2019; at the end of 2019 he joined the Repsol Honda team and since 2021 he competes for LCR Honda Team.
Takaaki Nakagami
He has been racing with the LCR Team since 2018 where he proved to be a reliable and consistent member of the team. Nakagami finished the 2021 championship fifteenth, with a fourth place in Spain as his best result of the season. He will continue in the 2022 championship in the LCR Honda IDEMITSU Team.
LCR Honda Team
The LCR Honda team is led by Lucio Cecchinello, who started with two technicians and a van in 1996 and made it the successful team it is today. After nine years in the 125cc class and a move to the 250cc class in 2002, the LCR team has been racing in the MotoGP class since 2006. Cecchinello’s team has achieved a total of 85 podiums and 24 wins over the years and is committed to being a professional, multicultural and hardworking team with the full support of Honda.
The 2022 MotoGP Season Calendar is particularly intense and DORNA has already confirmed 21 races. The season will kick off on the first weekend of March 2022 with the Qatar Grand Prix to conclude, as per tradition, with the Valencia GP on November 6, 2022.
