SENA ENHANCES SAFETY FOR PARTICIPANTS IN THE BMW MOTORRAD INT. GS TROPHY 2024 NAMIBIA

August 27, 2024

From September 15 to 20, 2024, the Int. GS Trophy 2024 Namibia will gather the most seasoned motorcyclists in extreme conditions. As the Main Partner, SENA will enhance participant safety with its reliable communication solutions designed for tough environments. This commitment is part of SENA’s “Trusted by Elite” program, where its products are pushed to the limit by riders and adventurers around the world.

SAFETY ENHANCED THROUGH COMMUNICATION

During this event, each participant and marshal will be equipped with the BMW ConnectedRide Com U1 intercom, co-developed by SENA and BMW. This state-of-the-art intercom ensures clear and intuitive communication, even in the most challenging conditions, and those in Namibia are expected to be particularly extreme!

“The 2024 edition in Namibia will be the most demanding in the history of the GS Trophy.” said Ralf Rodepeter, Head of Marketing, BMW Motorrad.

Thanks to Mesh Intercom technology, teams will be able to communicate in private groups for better coordination. The “Open” mode will allow all participants and marshals to stay connected on the same channel without the need for pairing, a crucial advantage for enhancing the collective safety of the event.

PERSONALIZED TECHNICAL SUPPORT

To ensure optimal performance of the equipment, Steffen Walther from SENA will be on-site to provide dedicated technical support. He will be available to replace speakers, microphones, and units if necessary, while also advising marshals and participants on using the intercoms. His presence will ensure that every rider benefits from the best possible communication conditions, further enhancing the event’s safety.

“With our expert Steffen Walther on the ground and the ConnectedRide Com U1 intercoms, every rider can ride with confidence in Namibia.” says Vlada Bokza, Marketing Manager Europe, SENA.
