SENA, a global leader in intercom systems, is proud to announce its partnership with Heïdi Sevestre and Matthieu Tordeur for their polar expeditions. As a technical partner, SENA will equip these two adventurers and scientists with the Latitude S1 helmet and the Snowtalk 2 intercom, ensuring reliable and secure communications in extreme polar conditions.

Safety First
Polar expeditions present unique communication challenges, including unpredictable weather conditions, extreme temperatures, and isolated environments. The SENA Latitude S1 helmets and Snowtalk 2 intercoms will enable Heïdi and Matthieu to stay in constant contact, even in the worst fog or storm conditions. This connection is crucial for their safety and the coordination of their efforts in the field.
Heïdi Sevestre and Matthieu Tordeur’s Polar Adventures
From 2024 to 2026, Heïdi and Matthieu will embark on ambitious expeditions in Greenland and Antarctica. Their polar expeditions combine adventure and science to raise public awareness about environmental challenges and collect crucial data on polar ecosystems.
Greenland Expedition (June & July 2024)
- Distance: 2,000 km
- Duration: approximately 30 days
- Temperatures: down to -35°C
- Effort: 8 to 12 hours per day

About Heïdi Sevestre
Heïdi Sevestre is a glaciologist specializing in tropical glaciers and ice shelves in Antarctica. A member of the Explorers Club and the Royal Geographical Society, she received the Shackleton Medal in 2022. Currently, she works at the Arctic Monitoring and Assessment Programme (AMAP) of the Arctic Council. Engaged in scientific outreach, she collaborates with National Geographic and participates in various NGOs raising awareness about climate change.

About Matthieu Tordeur
Matthieu Tordeur is a French adventurer and speaker, the first Frenchman and youngest person to ski solo to the South Pole in 2019. He has cycled across Europe, Africa, and Asia, run in the Sahara, and sailed across the Atlantic. Author of two books and documentary producer, he is a member of the French Explorers Society and engaged in several climate NGOs.
