1. WAVE INTERCOM FEATURED IN SENA 60S AND PHANTOM
RIDE CONNECTED Everywhere you have Cellular Service
Wave is a new cellular network based motorcycle communication concept that virtually eliminates distance and device limitations that riders previously contend with on legacy intercom systems, such as Mesh and Bluetooth Intercom. Wave Intercom is accessed through the new Sena Wave Intercom Smartphone Application, available as a free download through Apple App Store or Google Play.
“At SENA, we’re riders first, and we know how important it is to stay connected. With Wave, you stay connected to your group, no matter the distance. As long as there’s network coverage, you’re connected, without the current range limits.” – Tae Kim, Founder and CEO of SENA
Cross-Brand Compatibility
Riders can connect any Bluetooth headset to Wave Intercom and speak directly to other riders, or friends and family who are not riding, so long as everyone has a cellular or internet connection. Although any brand Bluetooth headset will work with Wave Intercom, Sena devices are uniquely optimized for motorcycle riders with the ability to control the app through the buttons on Sena headsets and smart helmets, eliminating the need to stop riding and remove gloves to manipulate a smartphone.
Seamlessly Switch from Wave to Mesh
If the cellular connection is lost, Wave automatically switches to Sena Mesh Intercom™. As soon as the network coverage is available again, the riders can revert back to Wave without interruption. For group rides, this ensures continuous connectivity under any circumstance.
And Even More with the New Wave App
Through geolocation, the Wave app allows you to see your group members’ real-time positions on a map. Geo-based group intercom automatically connects riders within a 2 km radius. The app also includes a chat function for text and image sharing, as well as an SOS button for emergencies. Plan your rides and stay in control with ease.
2. MESH 3.0 IN SENA 60S AND PHANTOM HELMET
Mesh 3.0’s new algorithm significantly improves audio clarity, connection stability, and power consumption compared to Mesh 2.0 . The all new 60S and Phantom helmet are preconfigured for Mesh 3.0 from the factory, and through the Sena Motorcycles Smartphone Application, riders can switch their 60S or Phantom back to Mesh 2.0 should they need to connect with other riders using legacy Sena Mesh 2.0 devices. Firmware updates will be available as early as January 2025 to bring Mesh 3.0 to legacy Sena devices.
“I tested the SENA 60S during the LCR Track Days in June 2024: honestly, I was amazed by the simplicity and effectiveness of the Mesh technology. No distance limit on the track, and everyone could connect with ease. Ultimately, it made our motorcycle sessions more fun and much safer for everyone!” – Johann Zarco, MotoGP rider, LCR Honda
3. SMARTER SENA 60S AND PHANTOM HELMET WITH ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
Noise Reduction with Artificial Intelligence
The SENA Phantom helmet and the SENA 60S intercom feature a new AI-based noise reduction function: AINR (Artificial Intelligence Noise Reduction). The AI accurately detects and reduces the transmission of background noise, ensuring clear communication even in noisy environments.
AI-Enhanced Voice Commands
New AI-powered Intuitive Speech Interface allows riders to control the functions on their Sena headsets and smart helmets using their natural speech patterns. The customizable interface is compatible with multiple languages and accents, enabling users to manage calls, GPS navigation, or private groups by voice, without taking their hands off the handlebars.
4. FOCUS ON PHANTOM HELMET
In addition to AI, Wave Intercom and Mesh 3.0 technologies, the new Phantom full-face helmet also aims to redefine the current standards of motorcycle audio.
2nd Generation Sound by SENA Engineers and Harman Kardon Experts
From the Research and Development phase, SENA engineers designed the Phantom helmet with an integrated communication system. Installed directly in the factory, this system includes the intercom, speakers, and microphone, ensuring seamless integration. Developed in collaboration with Harman Kardon, this system combines second-generation 40mm speakers with an interior design optimized to maximize acoustic damping. The result An outstanding audio experience
Taking It Further with Active Noise Cancellation
To complement AINR, riders can opt for new Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) technology for enhanced sound comfort. The ANC works via a microphone that captures external sounds, and a processor then generates inverse sound waves to cancel them out. These waves are played through the speakers, effectively reducing unwanted background noise, like a +2dB sound outside canceled out by -2dB inside, bringing the noise level down to zero.
“This is a revolution in the world of motorcycle helmets. We’ve combined cutting-edge audio technologies with exceptional comfort to deliver an audio experience like never before,” explains Vlada Bokza, Marketing Manager Europe at SENA. “Our goal is to allow riders to fully enjoy every moment of their journey, with exceptional sound quality and optimal comfort.”
Smart Features Without Compromising Safety
The Phantom helmet, in addition to its smart features, prioritizes its primary mission: providing optimal protection. With a composite fiberglass shell, DOT and ECE 22-06 certifications, it also features LED lights at the front and rear, ensuring enhanced visibility in all conditions.
5. FOCUS ON THE SENA 60S INTERCOM
The first motorcycle intercom to feature Wave, Mesh 3.0, and numerous AI-based functions, the SENA 60S also stands out with other groundbreaking innovations, making this model a true advancement in motorcycle communication.
Top-Quality Sound with Harman Kardon
The SENA 60S features second-generation 40 mm Harman Kardon speakers, thicker and significantly more powerful than the previous version. This new model delivers robust sound, with a volume increase of up to 130% compared to the SENA 50S. With a wide dynamic range, your music and conversations come to life, whether on the highway or in the city, ensuring premium audio quality on every ride.
